Another approach is to take the insult and make it yours…even turn it in to a strength. I am very short, always have been, and was perceived as an easy target by bullies…usually insults (shorty, midget, half-pint), sometimes physical. So I owned my size, was proud of it…and they stopped when they realized it didn’t bother me.
That is a good approach as well. I am rather sensitive to physical criticism but I learned to build up a shield against those who are irrelevant in my life. However if someone close to me says something mean I'll crack into tears.
Yeah, most people think I don’t care what other people think…my wife knows better!😂
Verbal bullying is just a form of emotional manipulation. The two most effective techniques against emotional manipulation are colloquially known as “the broken record” (used when someone is trying to deflect, distract, or change the subject often by bringing up hurtful things) and “fogging” (owning an insult or accusation).
I use both all the time. There’s nothing better than to watch some bully’s reaction when they come at you with “I heard you said such-and-such about me” and you calmly say, “I did.” They literally have nothing to say at that point…😂

The physical was a different matter…😂

Thank you. I enjoyed it. If you really didn't, do kittens or puppies instead. 😊
Haha I am a cat lady so I may do cat themed things in the future lol
The best thing to feed a bully is a knuckle sammich.
no no no no
no violence.
The rule is if someone throws the first punch then you can kick their ass.
They always start first.
This is like army talk lol
