I enjoyed your essay on Beatrix Potter and appreciate you posting it. When my kids were small, I would occasionally buy them some of the Potter books, and when they were old enough, they began buying them on their own. One Christmas, I received “The Tale of Tom Kitten” as a gag present from them. My elder daughter was interested enough to buy the biography, “The Tale of Beatrix Potter”, by Margaret Lane, though when I went to check the bookcase in her bedroom just now, I see it’s missing, so she must have taken it with her, and the rest of her Potter books, when she moved out of the old homestead.
As you probably know, there are lots of videos on YouTube by Potter enthusiasts offering lessons on “How to Paint Like Beatrix Potter”.
